Vesta Maxey lives in New York City. She has appeared on Dizzy Gillespie's album Endlessly and been featured as a soloist with Tito Puente at the Salsa Meets Jazz series at the Village Gate. Others with whom Vesta has performed includes: Roy Ayers, Freddy Hubbard, Bob Cranshaw, Harold Mabern, Chuck Rainey, Bernard Purdy, Jorge Dalto, Walter Booker, Jimmy Cobb, Larry Willis, Lenny White, Tom Barney and Henry Toth, guitarist from Bratislava, Slovakia. Vesta has appeared at: the First Cannonball Adderley Jazz Festival, Tallahassee Florida; Storsjoyran Festival, Sweden; SOB's, New York City; Seventh Avenue South (formally owned by the Brecker Brothers), NYC; and Mikell's, NYC. |
